I don't know what NVDA offers, but Android handles the touch screen quite well.
When you move your finger around the screen, the speech/braille tells you what
your finger has moved onto. To click, you double tap. To long click, you tap
then hold. There are many gestures. For example, a right/left swipe moves to
the next/previous item.
