gedit 2.30.0 has been released

gedit is the official text editor of the GNOME desktop.

This is the first release of the new stable series that will be part of
GNOME 2.30.

This new version features many bugfixes and enhancements, including a
rework of file handling that should improve support for file encoding
conversion.
