Re: [Geary] Using Geary with non-Gnome desktops

Hello Axel,

Thank you for the link. That procedure worked perfectly.  :)

Since yesterday, Thunderbird has failed to connect to my Internet provider's IMAP server, but it connects successfully everywhere else. Tried everything I could think of, removing Thunderbird, reinstalling it, deleting the profile, none of these corrected the issue. I also installed Evolution, with the same result, it couldn't add the account as it couldn't verify the information. Thunderbird also could not add the account with the same results (Checking password... with the blue circulating indocator, spinning for 15 minutes.)

I could successfully connect to it through my smartphone mail app and Geary also successfully connected. I reported the problem to the Internet provider and haven't heard back yet, but if it remains unresolved, then I will be happy to use Geary full-time. This is why I asked about the keyring, since my systems are a ltitle older and LXDE and LXQt run faster on them.

Thank you again.

Ed
