Did you check if dvdnav.h is indeed the one I mentioned?
The CVS browser for gstreamer shows the latest version still using the old API,
yet they do have packages for RedHat there...
Maybe you feel like getting your hands dirty and updating that plugin to the
new API? Why not...  :-)

I ran into the same problem with garnome-0.21.2 on a RedHat 8.0 box on which libdvdnav-0.1.4-fr0.1note2 is installed. Reading a bit I was instantly able to fix that one. Just add:

dvdnav_get_current_nav_pci(src->dvdnav)

as the second argument to each call reported to be faulty in the file ./gst-plugins-0.6.0/ext/dvdnav/dvdnavsrc.c
