Re: ideas and proposals for a 'Manage Plugins' dialog

Why not just use the Banshee plugin backend/interface? (Maybe this is
already what your doing?) I know someone on the Banshee IRC chan was
talking about this and since the Banshee plugin interface is so
extensive, it seems logical just to port what code can be used to
f-spot.

I think for GUI, simple is always the best.

Hi all,

As most of you already knows, I'm working a bit on enabling plug-ins for
F-Spot. Latest versions and discussions goes here:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345395

I badly designed a first UI for managing (enabling/disabling) plug-ins,
the screenshot is here:

I have some ideas on how to make it better, but what's *yours* ? If you
had, or want to think about it, please submit your artwork (use Glade /
The Gimp / a box of crayola) so we can discuss it.

The participation to this contest is free but you can win a free 250MB
picasaweb album :) I wanted to offer a box of Belgian Chocolates but I
probably can't send that overseas :(

You want to participate ? Here's the things you should now about plugins
then:
- All plugins have a name, a description, one or more authors
- All plugins belongs to a category (e.g. Export, Filter, ...)
- Some plugins can have a configuration GUI (think about a Configure
button)
- The number of available plugins can be really huge (think about an
export plugin for every plossible online photo shop)

Enjoy !
