I think I've finally gotten to the bottom of this one.  It is the
mime-type we are sending in the request.  Evolution is sending a
deprecated type of text/x-vcard whereas Zimbra is expecting text/vcard.
I've put the details, traces, and Zimbra tech support response in the
bug report - John
