The Evo 2.24.5 has (in my configuration) three mayor windows:

I don't like using the mouse to change the focus between the windows,
is there some key for this? Thanks
F6 will cycle focus over the three panes.

This works most of the time, but it is possible to have Evolution
*window* have the focus yet no *pane* have focus in which case F6
doesn't do anything. But selecting anything in the menu (like via Alt
+f) and then hitting Esc puts the focus back in the most recently active
pane.

Are you sure? What I see is that when focus is on the preview pane there
is no visual feedback, however the arrow keys will scroll the preview
(if it's longer than the pane of course) so I know where the focus is.
This isn't very friendly but it's not that focus isn't working, it's
that it isn't visible.

A clearer visual focus would be good.

I see it the same as Patcick does. When focus is in the folders pane,
there is a bar that highlights the current folder. that bar changes
color to indicate focus or not. While focus is in the messages pane,
there is a bar highlighting the current message. It shows focus by
changing color. When focus is in the preview pane, there's nothing to
highlight. Therefore no visual feedback. I don't know what could be
highlighted to show focus. Perhaps activating a cursor would do? As I
use a wheel mouse for most movement, it's not a problem for me. Just
wanted to confirm the results on Evo 2.28.2.
