You can try this

From a command line prompt completely shut down evolution and it's backend 
processes
 $ evolution --force-shutdown

make a copy of the
  Sourcing Validated1 2.0GB mailboxfile Wed 02 Sep
file to somewhere safe.

rm the Validated1*ummary* and Validated1*index* and Validated1*cmeta files
restart evo
