Hi,

Provide the OWA Url and usernames, as you give it to
OWA and it should work.

Not in my case. I can't get the "OK" button to come back.

Some users having a problem in the scenario where windows logon
and is different that mailbox name.

It's worse than that. The connector insists that it thinks it knows
what the mailbox "should be" based on erroneous information and won't
let you change it, even if you know the correct values and it doesn't,
in some cases. In my case, somewhere deep in the bowels of Exchange, I
"own" a global mailing distribution list named "pgpkeys". My mailbox is
"mhw" (which I access using POP and fetchmail because this thing is
broken, so I KNOW exactly what it really is). When I try and set up my
OWA Url using the setup application, I end up with a URL under
preferences of http://server/exchange/pgpkeys instead of
https://server/exchange/mhw (and the damn http vs https is another
aspect to the whole problem). I can't get it to accept the correct
values. If I change anything on the damn OWA URL line the OK button
grays out and won't come back, no matter what I do.

You are also having the similar setup?

Basically, anything that doesn't seem to fit the connectors simplistic
view of how Exchange "should be" set up seems to be broken. There's no
override to tell it to "do as I tell you to do".

Thanks,
Sushma.

Suggestions on how to force feed the correct information to the
connector or how to hand edit the configurations would be greatly
appreciated.

Hi all,

I'm trying to get Evolution with the Exchange connector to talk to
the Exchange server where my mailbox resides and not having
much luck at all :( . Evolution for some reason tries to find
my mailbox and folders on one of our 4 Exchange servers
but it defaults to a particular server i've never specified anywhere
in Evolution.

My setup is as follows:

cjm dapper:~$ dpkg -l| egrep 'libbonobo|evolution'
ii evolution 2.6.1-0ubuntu6
ii evolution-data-server 1.6.1-0ubuntu3
ii evolution-exchange 2.6.1-0ubuntu1
ii evolution-plugins 2.6.1-0ubuntu6
ii evolution-webcal 2.6.0-0ubuntu1
ii libbonobo2-0 2.14.0-0ubuntu1
ii libbonobo2-common 2.14.0-0ubuntu1
ii libbonoboui2-0 2.14.0-0ubuntu1
ii libbonoboui2-common 2.14.0-0ubuntu1
ii libcamel1.2-8 1.6.1-0ubuntu3
ii libebook1.2-5 1.6.1-0ubuntu3
ii libecal1.2-3 1.6.1-0ubuntu3
ii libedata-book1.2-2 1.6.1-0ubuntu3
ii libedata-cal1.2-1 1.6.1-0ubuntu3
ii libedataserver1.2-7 1.6.1-0ubuntu3
ii libedataserverui1.2-6 1.6.1-0ubuntu3
ii libexchange-storage1.2-1 1.6.1-0ubuntu3
ii openoffice.org-evolution 2.0.2-2ubuntu5

The company has 4 Exchange servers, one for OWA, one for storing
public folders and two for user mailboxes, ie
frontendexch01
backendexch01 <-- my mailbox resides on this one
backendexch02
backendexch03

After reading the following document,
http://galaxycow.com/blogs/vermyndax/archive/2005/10/18/2380.aspx,
I've realised I have to point the OWA url to backendexch02, where my
mailbox resides, because of frontendexch01
using "forms-based" authentication instead of "windows-based"
authentication. The settings in the "Receiving Email"
tab seem to be correct, because hitting the "Authenticate" button
doesn't return any errors, but when I hit send/receive
I get prompted to enter my password to authenticate to backendexch01.
backendexch01 only contains public folders,
so I can't figure out why it tries to find my mailbox on this server.
In my "Receiving Email" tab, my settings
are as follows:

Server Type: Exchange
Username: DOMAIN\name.surname (I've tried DOMAIN/name.surname as
well)
OWA URL: http://backendexch02/exchange/name.surname
Authentication Type: Secure Password (tried Plain Text too)

Any ideas are most welcome :).

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Christopher
