[Evolution] Palm sync

I'm new to the list so just wanted to start with saying hello to all.

        On to business I was having a problem with palm sync where contacts
would sync but calendar and todos would not.  While searching for an
answer I saw many others having the same problem both on this list and
via random posts on the web.  For some reason it dawned on me that
contacts were the only thing I was not able to bring forward from my 1.4
installations.  After setting up a new user and not importing any of my
old evolution data I was able to sync everything to and from my palm.  I
now get the duplicate entry problems now and then when todo entries are
deleted and then a sync is performed but this is a big step up.  
        This may explain why some people were experiencing the sync problem and
some were not.  I am not sure if i messed something up when doing my
backup and restoration, or if the problem was actually caused by using
the data from the older installs.  I was copying and pasting both the
evolution and later .evolution and the gconf portions.
