[Evolution] Re: Help->Contents not shown 2.0

Hi Ron,

I've set up the CAMEL_VERBOSE_DEBUG and I get the following error:

(evolution-2.0:25091): Bonobo-WARNING **: Error: 'There was an error launching the default action command
associated with this location.'

Under /usr/share/gnome/help/evolution-2.0/C there is an evolution-2.0.xml that seems the user guide.

Does evolution uses an external program to view the XML documentation? Or the file is not in the correct path?

Kind regards and thank you,
-rochi

Hi all,

I've just installed Evo 2.0 but when I push Help->Contents or
Help->Quick Reference nothing happens. What happens? What can I do to
investigate? Any log file to look into?
=20
I apologize if the questions are stupid I'm new to Evolution.
=20
Hmmm, I just noticed the same error.
=20
The way to debug this kind of error is to shutdown Evo, and run
it from an xterm, like this:
=20
CAMEL_VERBOSE_DEBUG=3D1 evolution
=20
When I do that, and try to open Help->Contents, I get this:
  (evolution-2.0:30241): Bonobo-WARNING **: Error: 'Unable to find
  the help files in either /usr/share/gnome/help/evolution-2.0/
  or /usr/share/gnome/help/. Please check your installation'
=20
So, I'm going to file a bug against my distro's evolution package.
<pause>

Well, it's Debian bug #275709. Attached is the original filing.
