Excellent!  Thank you very, very much!  This did the trick and it is now 
working just hunky-dory.  Now I'm off to play ...  :)

 (FWIW:  SuSE puts it at /etc/opt/gnome/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders)
