are you really getting a reminder for this VEVENT? I can't really
understand why you would get an alarm for it, since it's got no VALARM's
components inside it, and so the alarm daemon wouldn't generate any
alarm notification for it.

Anyway, I fixed some alarm's descriptions problem recently, so maybe it
was related to your bug, so please, could you test with latest version
and see if you still can replicate this?
