[Evolution] printing problem (won't)

Operating under SuSE 8.2.

When I try to print a note received in e-mail through Evolution 1.4.3,
the printer's error light goes on.  When I copy the contents of the note
to a text editor and print it, there is no difficulty in getting it
printed.

Is there anything I might check to see if I can fix the problem?
