[Evolution] how to compile version obtained from CVS

Hi all,

I have some problems with evolution 1.4.5 that hangs after deletion of
messages.

I would like to trie to compile source obtained from CVS with the
command

 cvs -z3 -d :pserver:anonymous anoncvs gnome org:/cvs/gnome co evolution
gtkhtml gal

Reading the INSTALL file I have to run the ./configure but this file
doesn't exists.

Someone can help me to build a new version of evolution?
