you dont specify which version.

i presume its 1.0.8, in which case you might want to turn on 'show only
subscribed folders', and/or set the namespace to 'mail'.

uw-imapd can go into an infinite loop if you just query all folders from
the root, and there are looping softlinks in any directory (i.e. its a
server bug).
