I use Gnome (1 & 2) and also find the lack of key-bindings and
user-configurable toolbars frustrating. For many years I used the
"Applixware" suite of Word, Spreadsheet, Mail etc. and it provided a
fully scriptable and configurable toolbar environment across all
components. When I started using Evolution, and found I could not just
add my own icon to the toolbar to perform a given function (Eg. expunge,
Load Images), I felt something fundamental was missing.
The closest bugzilla entry I could find was
http://bugzilla.ximian.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2774
but this is not exactly what I want - I guess I should submit my own
wishlist bug...
Cheers, Ben
