[Evolution] IMAP problem

I read mail using imap. My inbox is /var/spool/mail/rgs on the remote
machine.

I can subscribe to my other mail folders on the other machine, these are
located in /home/rgs/mail. I can read messages in those folders. If
however I exit evolution and restart, evolution-mail dies on startup.
The only way to get it to start again is to remove the contents of
~/.mailboxlist on the remote machine.

This is with cvs evolution. The imap server is stock redhat 6.1
