It almost certainly won't hang if you use the "View->Message
Display->View Email Source".  Then you can use evolution to save the
message and attach it to the bug (and forward it to me).  As for what is
wrong, it looks like some loops got introduced in the gtkhtml size
calculation logic recently, and that is probably what is causing this.
Regardless please file the bug.
