[Evolution] contact nits

How come when I resize the width of a contact, it does not stay?

Also, while in the contact window, File-->New-->Mail Message creates a
new message WITHOUT my .signature.

Same from contacts.  It appears to be associated with the Shift-Ctrl-M.
