New Year, new GNOME: GNOME 2.25.4 tarballs (also: String and UI change announcement)

Hello all,

First of all, best wishes for 2009. I'd like to take the time to include
some of the release teams thoughts for 2009:

"šťastný nový rok, jistě."
  -- Andre Klapper

"Godt nytt år og velkommen til GNOME!"
  -- Kjartan Maraas

"2009 sera l'année qui était attendue"
  -- Vincent Untz

"Iets minder oliebollen"
  - Olav Vitters

Additionally, we would like to inform you about the following:
* GNOME 2.25.4 unstable tarballs due
* String Change Announcement Period
* UI Change Announcement Period
* Module inclusion discussion heats up

Tarballs are due on 2009-01-05 before 23:59 UTC for the GNOME 2.25.4
unstable release, which will be delivered on Wednesday. Modules which
were proposed for inclusion should try to follow the unstable schedule
so everyone can test them. Please make sure that your tarballs will
be uploaded before Monday 23:59 UTC: tarballs uploaded later than that
will probably be too late to get in 2.25.4. If you are not able to
make a tarball before this deadline or if you think you'll be late,
please send a mail to the release team and we'll find someone to roll
the tarball for you!

String Change Announcement Period
After the GNOME 2.25.4 release, string changes must be announced to
gnome-doc-list and gnome-i18n.

UI Change Announcement Period
After the GNOME 2.25.4 release, UI changes must be announced to
gnome-doc-list.

Module inclusion discussion heats up
Soon we'll have a r-t meeting regarding the module proposals.
