Controlling the window manager

Hello:

I was reading the gnome docs at the URL:

http://library.gnome.org/devel/platform-overview/stable/window-manager.html.en

It was explaining how applications can use the libwnck library to control the window manager such as the placement of other windows. Does anyone know of any tutorial about using libwnck ? Or could someone suggest any example code or existing applications I could look at to get a feel of how to control the gnome window manager.
