To be fair I think some of it is down to memory leakage or whatever else
causes GNOME to slow considerably for me on Solaris after a few days of
use (I'm not necessarily blaming GNOME here, I use a lot of cruddy old
non-GNOME apps too that are more likely candidates)... but even after a
reboot, switching themes takes considerably longer than the second-or-so
we suggest as the upper limit for instant-apply operations.

It's one of the standard gtk themes in the gnome-themes cvs module that
you should all be using as a matter of course to test stuff :)
