To expand on what David said, you need to drag and drop it into the audiobook library _from the music library_.  Unfortunately, drag-and-drop from a folder or from your desktop won't work -- the audiobook has to already be imported into Banshee in your Music library.

If that's what you tried and it still didn't work, then I don't really have any ideas... sorry. :(
