Is the goal to create a separate build for windows, or to make thecompiled files run on both linux and windows?

The Windows port has been folded into the re-write of Banshee. When
the re-write is complete, Windows will be a supported platform. That
is still months out. As for OS X, I don't know of anyone who's made
the attempt.
