I noted my comment on it. The original comment thread on the bug
strayed a bit from the main concept, and discussion had seemed to have
petered out with no indication as to whether it was something that was
going to be pursued.

added a comment as I was writing my previous email.

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=535025 also touches on this
issue as well, but it's hard to tell if there's any action being
taken.

I notice that the banshee wiki has a big message that it's obsolete in
favor of the new site. Is there a roadmap somewhere that lays out your
vision for where Banshee is heading? Is there a venue where the
developers/users can discuss this roadmap? The only "development" I've
ever done is php scripting for the web, but I'm interested in
supporting banshee in whatever ways I'm able.
