[Banshee-List] Slooow podcast downloads

When I try to download a podcast using banshee,  it downloads terribly slow -- peaking out at about 30 K/s.  If I use wget to get the same file, I peak out at around 700 K/s.   What does banshee use to perform downloads? What would be causing it to go so incredibly slow?
