I completely agree with comments and style. I think we should start from
documenting src/common code and backends "public" functions. I think
backends are most inconsistent part of XST. There are functions and
styles of doing things from "all eras" we've had. This makes
contributing really hard for new people to XST. Plus there is no
documentation about which style is preferred. It also makes updating
(meaning adding new features) annoying, cause we can't use new style
just for the part we want to add (leaving all other (old) code as it
is). That means this new code has to be rewritten anyway and seems like
waste of time.

So, I think everybody agrees on that, when should it be done?
