Great!  Thank you!  It should have been done long ago.  Applied with 
necessary changes to the makefiles.

> So, there are no needs for lib/mc.hlp and lib/mc.ru in the source tarball.

This will be the next step.  I want to check portability of the new code
at least on some OSes first.

Nitpicking:
1) Use free() for Topics
2) Use high-level file I/O if possible
3) perror() doesn't stop execution

I'm fixing it right now.
