  Just your opinion that "we should avoid bumping requirements in
stable releases" doesn't exactly help as we already agree with that.
There was an issue and I needed some way to solve it. Since you (or
anyone) didn't say anything, I went with the only sane solution I
could think of. Besides, I didn't imagine fedora would have any issues
with this since I was under the impression that fedora is supposed to
be closely following gnome (releases).
