Re: [gtk-list] RE: 16 bit vs. 8 bit

I asked a day ago about 16 bit vs. 8 bit. I tried running it in gdb but
to no avail. The program is one that I wrote in gtk. On it's display it
has about ten pixmaps and a drawing area containing ~140 colors. Is this
too much? Do I have to allocate colors or can I just use them. Also on
some 8bit displays it won't crash it will display things incorrectly with
wrong colors and the default color. What's strange is it will do
different things to widgets of the same color even though they share the
same style structure. If any one can make any sense of it I would be
thankfull.
