Well, I didn't understand how a was to be interpreted.
I took it to mean do we get MAS to replace ESD and
the gnome libraries output their sound directly through
MAS, to which my answer is "NO, we use GStreamer".

If it was to be taken to be "Does the GNOME project 
recommend that people use MAS", then my answer is either
"I don't really care so long as we're pushing everything through
GStreamer", or "I don't know, but I'd prefer that we put everything 
through GStreamer".
