How to send Key_press_event by event?

Hi all,

I want to send Key_press_event to the list box by program not by keyboard.

i have seen that it can be done by gtk_signal_emit_by_name but with that 
function, i knwo that i have to pass the other members also. like 
pointer to GdkEventKey object. i have seen that there are many members 
of this structure. how do i initialize these members? and emit signal?

is there any other way of doing this?
