Initial mailing list test

Hey guys,

Hopefully everyone is subscribed to this list.  I think we'll move most
discussion here until we are able to get the yarrr stable and useful
again.  We've been struggling with IRC, and the timezone and scheduling
issues are a bit too painful to deal with for now.
