Hi all
I make an offer for converting UNEDIFACT to XML .
The problem I have is that UNEDIFACT (Syntax version 4, release 3)
uses iso-646 encoding.
This is kind of ASCII but there are also german Umlauts like äöüß.
There are lots of variants of this encoding for lots of countries.
The way I try to do I is to add a xml declaration to the
the edifact file and put everthing into one tag.
I also replace & -> &..
It's easy to do but I have the encoding problem.
If I make a XML declaration like:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-646-de"?>
It does not work.
What can I do?
Bernhard
