the libxml2 xpath.c module seems to be seriously bugged when it
comes to compare nodesets to values. I think bug #85256 is the placeholder
for a number of such problems :-(

Ideally a single stylesheet could provide coverage for the full
set of XPath equality or comparisons. There is a number of them in the
libxml2 XPath regression tests but they don't cover nodesets.
Patches welcome, I don't think I will have the time to tackle this in
the next couple of weeks, so ...
