[xslt] configure.in patch

The attached patch to configure.in replaces the current multiple
libxml2 version number references (in different formats) with a
variable that is declared once and referred to in multiple places.

The patch would have been simpler if libxslt used pkg-config to
determine the libxml2 version.  Why doesn't it?
