support for newlines in xml.in files

Again from the gcompris folks. I have a few strings with newlines
in .xml.in files. They are in the .po files but even translated, they
never show up in our .xml
I tested 

For example check the file boards/chronos/board3_0.xml
And the string "Place each image in the order and..." in it.

Tested with intltoolize 0.32.1 and 0.31 If I remember.
