I've been looking at the changes from 1.0pre3 as much as I've had time too,
and they look really excellent. The only thing I've noticed is that the
(incomplete) UTF-8 reference that I put in there has not been fixed. For
the record UTF-8 is RFC 2279 AFAIK. This at least should go in (and I guess
I've volunteering for that).
I think we should consider that the spec is absolutely in feature freeze,
apart from fixes to showstoppers.
It would be great if the KDE guys could see if the post KDE2.0 revisions
will cause any issues. I know we've been over this about a million times,
and it's hard to concentrate on sonething that's basically the same, but it
would be helpful to discover any gotcha's in advance. I'm not sure that we
should alter the spec for this, but it would be helpful to put it out with
attached notes discussing issues.
Over and above that I think we're ready to go 1.0.
