Dear Ginn Chen,

It is with great pleasure that the GNOME Membership Committee is
announcing the start of the 2004 GNOME Foundation Election voting
period. Your vote should be received by Monday, December 6th 2004,
23:59 UTC.

This is your ballot for voting in the elections for the GNOME
Foundation Board of Directors.

About the elections
===================

As a reminder, more information about the candidates can be found at
this URL:

  http://foundation.gnome.org/elections/2004/candidates.html

Information about the GNOME Foundation is here:

  http://foundation.gnome.org/

Also, general discussion of the candidates can be found in the 2004
November (and possibly December) archives for foundation-list at:

  http://mail.gnome.org/archives/foundation-list/

Please take the time to learn about the candidates and their expected
tasks and aspirations as members of the GNOME Foundation Board.

Voting instructions
===================

You may vote for up to 11 different candidates. The 11 candidates with
the most votes will become the new board, subject to a maximum of four
board members with the same company affiliation.

At the end of the voting period, all votes will be posted publicly for
verification; this is NOT a secret ballot. At that time, please verify
that your vote was received and counted and alert elections gnome org if
it was not.

Concerns or questions about the voting process should be sent to
elections gnome org. Preliminary results will be announced as soon as
possible after voting closes (most probably on December 6th). Challenges
to these preliminary results should be sent prior to December 17th.

To vote, send an email to vote gnome org (you can just reply to this
mail: the '> ' coming from the reply are okay). Your mail should contain
the following three personalized authentication lines, unmodified:

Member: Ginn Chen
Member Address: ginn chen sun com
Validation Token: af4af7bc273654bf9424f4e50816c808

These three lines allow us to verify that you are a foundation member
and that your email came from you.

Try not to include any text in your email other than the three
authentication lines followed by the choice you're voting for.

The remainder of your email should name up to 11 candidates you wish
to vote for. The order of the names is not relevant. Please include
both the name and ID number of each candidate exactly as they appear
below, one candidate per line. Try not to include any text in your
email other than the three authentication lines followed by the
candidates you're voting for.

You shall receive a confirmation for your vote.

* the member e-mail address is not the e-mail address this ballot was
