Most people don't (even technical people...), and certainly not the
people that we are targetting (the 3 billion people not using
computers).

How about changing it, like we do for power savings:
"Choose sleep type:    [ Save battery      ]
                       [ Save startup time ]"

You can always add the Windows equivalents in the docs.
