Mapping order, yes...and it is still the order used; I have no idea
why you would observe otherwise. Did your distribution apply an
ill-advised patch, or is there a bug somewhere making it occasionally
do dumb things like this?
Am I alone in this? How do we make tabbed browsing work again?
(a) determine whether it happens with upstream Gnome sources
(b) If so, find report a bug and help us duplicate so we can kill it
(c) if not, switch distributions or use GARNOME or something
