Is there anything in the HIG about describing actions
in general rather than specific terms?
Eg, for label text, having
"Run executable text files when they are opened"
instead of
"Run executable text files when they are
double-clicked"
Nothing in the HIG, that's Documentation Styleguide fodder... looks
like the best list we have there is http://developer.gnome.org/
documents/style-guide/gnome-glossary-user-actions.html. It doesn't
mention files as one of the things you can "open", but since File-
>Open does just that in most applications, it seems like an
appropriate verb for this specific example at least.
