I agree with the wrapping. 

Beeping in my opinion should generally be avoided.  It is generally a
pretty good practice to reserve audible warnings for a critical error
or for a notification that the user asked for (such as receiving a new
email). Since the user will actually be looking at the screen while
they perform the action, it's not necessary to have an audible
reminder when a visual one will do.

If you want to inform the user that there was an actual effect based
on their keystroke then you could have the highlighted cell have some
kind of visual flash or wink to indicate what just happened.

It is important to let the user know that the action that they
performed (such as pressing a keystroke) had an effect on their
computer, so as to enforce the idea that every interaction has an
actual effect on their system (and that things haven't crashed).
