The new file dialog-like navigation buttonbar in Gome 2.12 creates
inconsistencys
If you open your home directory with nautilus in navigational mode amd
press the up
arrow in the toolbar you end up with the nautilus navigation buttons
reading:
[ ] [home] [Home] and a folder view showing the users home folder
(See attatchment 1.png)
I would suggest that the same name for the home folder was used
throughout the
system.
As I see it, there are two ways to accomplish that:
1) Use the actual file system name everywhere. E.g [] [home][juser]
instead of [ ] [home][Home].
This would solve the problem of having the same folder being
referred to by different names.
2) Use the real name of the user i.e "Joe User" followed by the actual
folder name.
This would have the advantage of being more intuitive as most people
think of their coworkers or friends
by their real name, not by their unix login name.
It could look something like attatchment 2.png
