I'm curious as to what people think about trying to make the current
focus more visual prominent on input widgets - especially text input fields.
Currently, the only visual indication of an active/focused text input
filed in Gnome (and in Windows, for that matter) is the thin blinking
text-input cursor.
Mac OS X does this quite nicely, which a soft-blue outline around the
currently active text-input box - see example:

Also, if you turn on the keyboard access functionality in the "Universal
Access" menu in the OS X preferences, the same soft-blue outline
displays on any focused widget (buttons, flydowns, checkboxes, etc.).
Might this be something worth considering for Gnome/GTK?
