Because burn:/// doesn't have any notions of order.
And that's exactly where I think "MrBurns" code could be adopted to make
the burn:/// location do a little bit more in a smarter way. You drag
audio files to it, you get a sorted/numbered list view, fully utilizing
id3/vorbis/playlist metadata when available. You drag data files to it,
you get the current behaviour. A combination of both renders a two-paned
view for audio and data tracks and gets you a mixed mode CD.
There are already a bunch of playlist formats which are usable. It all
depends on the requirements for such a playlist. The .pls format can
solve most of the needs of a movie player like Totem.
Well then, do you think you could separate Totem's playlist editor from
Totem, much like Epiphany's bookmark editor can be used without an
active Epiphany window? Or am I asking too much at once here? :-)
