Any kind of arbitrary widget, hmm? What is the use case of this besides
a read only checkbox? If there's just a few such things that we except
to be used, could we just have some properties for enabling these versus
an arbitrary widget? Then the UI proposal could take those into
consideration, versus having to be able to cope with "any possible kind
of widget of any behaviour and any shape". The place and display method
I'd except for a read-only checkbox is a lot different than I'd want
for, say, a "previously selected files list" some mis-guided app may try
to embed.
