Just disabling pass through click has unusable results in X; try to
use Glade or GIMP with that setting turned on and prepare to be very
unhappy. Those two apps copy Mac UIs. However, the Mac is application
based and X isn't. As a result those two apps are basically broken
under X.

One of the aspect of application based is that you can click
palette/toolbox windows and a) they don't get focus and b) the clicks
on them are passed through. So disabling pass through makes Glade/GIMP
nearly unusable (though the fact that the palette/toolbox windows are
focused on click is still a PITA).

Anyway, I think there were other problems with the disabled pass
through. GTK not making unfocused windows look disabled is certainly
one.

If somebody wants to work on making "no pass through" usable by
default that might be interesting, but I think it just causes problems
right now.
