Well Nils Pedersen (Sun UI guy) is quoted as saying "URIs are E V I L :)"

and I remember him saying something to the effect of "URI's are implementation
B.S." in IRC awhile, though that is not a direct quote.
Of course I'm one of those psycho UI people who thinks that at the least the
location bar should be turned off by default (even provided a patch for this, see
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82107) and ideally full scale removed.
